Ken Anderson of Fox, Alaska won the 2009 Knik 2oo Joe Redington Sr. Sled Dog Race on Sunday with a time of 24 hours and 36 minutes from Knik to Sqwentna and return. Ray Redington, Jr. of Knik came in second twenty minutes later, followed closely by Mike Santos, Mike Barnett, and Mitch Seavey.
The Knik 200 Joe Redington Sr. Memorial Sled Dog Race started off on Knik Lake under cold skies, with temperatures dipping below minus 30 in a cold snap which canceled other festivities in the Mat-Su Valley.
